About Alexander

This season Alexander has already returned to Staatsoper Hamburg for a new production of Boris Godunov and will also return to Teatro San Carlo di Napoli for Turandot and Norma, New National Theatre Tokyo for Eugene Onegin, Teatro Real Madrid for Meistersinger and Musikfest Bremen for Il trovatore. On the concert platform he will sing Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 at the Gran Théâtre du Luxembourg, Iolanta with the Royal Philharmonic at the Royal Albert Hall and Bruckner’s Te Deum with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican Centre.

Previous highlights include Lady Macbeth von Mtsensk, Lucia di Lammermoor, Turandot, Eugene Onegin and Le nozze di Figaro at the Bayerische Staatsoper; Ferrando (Il Trovatore) at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and Eugene Onegin and the title role in Boris Godunov at the Opéra national de Paris, Rigoletto at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. He returns to The Metropolitan Opera as Timur (Turandot), Bayerische Staatsoper as Fasolt (Das Rheingold), and Staatsoper Hamburg as Gremin (Eugene Onegin). Further appearances included Rubenstein’s The Demon at the Liceu Barcelona; and in concert: Don Giovanni in Japan, Samson et Dalila at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, and Boris Godunov at the Concertgebouw.
