Other debuts include Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI, performing 'Chute d'étoiles' both composed and conducted by Matthias Pintscher, as well as Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Luzerner Sinfonieorchester. Simon also gave the German Premiere of Detlev Glanert’s Trumpet Concerto with Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg and returned to Staatstheater Darmstadt to perform the Haydn and Hummel concertos.

Previous highlights include Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne.

An enthusiastic performer of chamber music, Simon frequently collaborates with pianist Elisabeth Brauß, giving recitals this season in Cologne, Hamburg, Belfast and Athens.

He has also appeared at Tonhalle Zürich, Wiener Konzerthaus, Concertgebouw, Grande Auditório da Gulbenkian, L’Auditori Barcelona, Müpa Budapest, BOZAR, Elbphilharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Herkulessaal Munich, as well as at the MITO, Rheingau, Schleswig-Holstein and Grafenegg festivals.

Simon Höfele is an exclusive Berlin Classics artist. His 2020 release, “Standards” featured the trumpet concertos of Haydn, Hummel, Arutjunjan and Copland. Recorded with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales and conducted by Duncan Ward, it garnered much critical acclaim and was awarded the OPUS KLASSIK 2020 prize “concert recording of the year.”
